How Do You Know When It Is Time to Repaint Your Home?
Paint naturally wears over time, but certain signs can indicate that your home’s surfaces are ready for attention. Fading color, peeling or cracking paint, worn areas, stains, and finishes that have become difficult to clean are all reasons to consider repainting.
Exterior surfaces may show wear differently because they are continually exposed to rain, moisture, sunlight, and changing weather conditions. Inside the home, high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, entryways, doors, and trim may need repainting sooner than rooms that receive less use.
August West Painting provides interior and exterior painting and finishing throughout the Portland metropolitan area. With more than 32 years of experience, our team can evaluate existing painted surfaces and recommend an appropriate approach for your project. Whether you want to refresh the appearance of your home or address an aging finish, professional repainting can give your space a clean, updated appearance.
How Soon Can My Painting Project Start, and How Long Will It Take?
There is no standard timeline because every project is different. The size and condition of the property, amount of preparation required, surfaces being painted, scope of work, and other project details can all affect the schedule. Some customers also have tighter deadlines because they recently purchased a home and want it painted before moving in or are preparing a property to sell.
Our process begins with an onsite meeting where we walk through the project with you, take detailed notes and photos, and discuss what you want completed. We then prepare a detailed, line-item proposal outlining the work and paint products involved. Once you accept the proposal, we schedule the project and provide a timeline based on its actual scope. This allows us to give you realistic expectations rather than promising a generic timeframe before we fully understand the work involved.
